There actually is one such list: safa-l, the listserver of the Society
of Africanist Archaeologists. (Contact information available on
request.) It's quite a quiet list, and tied to SAfA membership. I'm not
sure if it needs to be duplicated, but if there's an untapped interest
in African archaeology out there in the aether, it would probably be
good to set it up.
