GERMAN STUDIES GRADUATE STUDENTS
INFORMAL INFORMATION EXCHANGE
We call on any PhD or MA student at any stage in his or her studies
doing research on German issues to post an abstract or any short text
describing best their research. Their field could be German Studies,
Literature, History, Political Science, Philosophy, Musicology or
Anthropology.
The purpose is to have an exchange of ideas and perhaps from time to
time challenge each others opinions. This can either occur one-on-one
via email but also publicly in our discussion group and message board
which is only accessible through the website. It will enable
prospective scholars to learn how others deal with similar topics and
will simply be a new place for networking.
Students from all continents are welcome, the language of the site is
English, German is certainly encouraged. In the future we hope this
site will evolve not oinly into a helpful tool for developing ideas.
While anyone, including accomplished scholars, is invited to engage in
discussions, the posting of abstracts is exclusively for graduate
students.
Kai Artur Diers, manager. PhD student, German Literature, Rutgers
University, NJ, USA.
