Come to Internet for Economics! A one-day seminar on the full range of
nationally-funded Internet information services for economics, to be held
at the University of Bristol, on Thurs 25 March 2004.
It is becoming increasingly hard to keep up with the ever-changing world of
online information resources, and yet these resources have a vital role to
play in higher and further education teaching and research.
Internet for Economics brings you the latest developments in quality
Internet information services, and provides inspiration and ideas for using
these resources in teaching, learning and research. SOSIG and the JISC
Resource Guide for Social Sciences in collaboration with LTSN Economics are
providing this event for all those involved in teaching and researching
economics in UK Higher and Further Education.
The seminar will give you:
· A comprehensive overview of key national Internet information resources
for economics
· The opportunity for "hands-on" exploration of these services and resources
· Interactive worksheets to use with students and staff in universities and
colleges
· Suggestions on keeping up-to-date with the latest Internet developments
· The opportunity to ask questions at an open forum discussion with key
representatives from the services represented
· The chance to hear ways in which future national developments in online
provision can support and enhance institutional developments
Speakers at the event include representatives from SOSIG, LTSN Economics,
Biz/ed, and ESDS.
Who should attend?

Subject librarians
