Subject: [Bioethics] I've been arrested for complaining about my careplan not being implemented
17/9/03
I'm asking others for their individual and collective support in my case of abuse and discrimination. I got arrested yesterday, by Humberside Police for going into my local Customer Services Centre, in Anlaby, East Yorkshire, England for trying to complain about my careplan not being implemented and I'm not receiving any health and social care as I've been assessed within my careplan.
I've been embattled since 1995 with my local public authorities to get appropriate diagnoses and assessment of my needs. I achieved my objective to be diagnosed in January 02 with Aspergers Syndrome and other SpLd's, but they have still not been able to implement my careplan at today's date.
As a pro-active local, national and international disabled human and civil rights campaigner and educator I've been banned by the Director of Social Services from entering all public buildings in the East Riding of Yorkshire Council for 'speaking-out' against oppression and discrimination of the basic human rights of all disabled people in the Hull and East Riding of Yorkshire locality, especially individuals, families and carers who experience Autistic Spectrum Disorders(Aspergers Syndrome) and/or Specific Learning Difficulties and Mental and Emotional ill health/distress.
They have no court order or injunctions against me and I'm asserting my human rights as a disabled person, under the Disability Discrimination Act and Human Rights Act, but they just continue to abuse me and infringe my basic human rights as a disabled person and trying to 'gag' me and exclude me from all local public-buildings and label me a vexatious and habitual complainer.
I have tried to enforce my human rights, but yesterday in trying to complain in my local Customer Service Centre and taken non-violent communication direct action and protesting non-violently, then I was arrested yesterday afternoon by the Humberside Police and allegations made against me for 'harassment' by East Riding of Yorkshire Council staff have made an indictment under the Protection of Harassment Act.
I'm on Police bail, until 26/9/03.
I need your support. I'm innocent and done nothing wrong. I am just asserting my basic human rights and I'm experiencing abuse and discrimination by my local Council and Humberside Police and also all my local NHS Health Trusts. They are all denying me access to the due process of their complaints procedures.
Are you aware that the Protection of Harassment Act is being used inappropriately and unlawfully by the Police, in the U.K against human and civil rights protesters and also animal rights protesters. Be Warned!
I would welcome your collective support and can you inform others and spread the word.
I will keep you all informed if I'm taken to court. If I am I will be pleading 'not-guilty', they can't go around discriminating and abusing the basic human rights of people with Autistic Spectrum Disorders(Aspergers Syndrome and SpLd's, cause they find 'our'(mine) neurodiverse behaviour inappropriate and not 'normal'
I need your collective support to stop this discrimination and abuse against myself and others in similar positions.
