Guys,
Paul reminded me ... I forgot a few important categories when suggesting an
orgnization of
learningobjectype by its function. I discovered this found when checking
UDC.
Although I am sure someone would remember...
According to this it looks like that we have 5 final categories of material
if we look into function of learning material
A materials used in the process of instructing (lecturing)
B materials used in evaluation
this one needs to provide both evalution material
and material that results from evaluation such as
coursework, paperwork, thesis etc. otherwise I don't
see where this would go... also diplomas and certificates
C materials used in practice/training
D materials used by educators (teaching aids)
(teaching methods, how to organize course, how to supervise students etc.)
E syllabus (curriculum related materials)
Bellow is the list of forms for educational material used in the UDC
classification that shows hierarchical organization of
materials within the facet of function
As this classification is faceted, as well, the information on pure form
of presentation (image, text, sound) is listed elsewhere and is being
combined in the process of indexing)
Here it is for you to double check yourself.
Make sure that you follow hierarchy which is expressed in numbers and you
will notice the categories I listed above ...more or less.
