We certainly do not have to "go on strike".
We probably do not even have to work to rule.
All we have to do is to carry on working hard as usual and wait for the new
deal, EWTD and F1/F2 to bite.
Then sit back and wait and see.
Only threat is defeatism and a belief that the public really will believe
the government spin.
--> The other problem is that this goverment's dying convulsions may well
include irreversible damage to the specialty of Emergency Medicine in ways
pointed out on this list by Danny, myself and many others. THey are not even
hiding the fact that they are interested in putting all specialties out
there on the shop floor 24-7. I imagine ANY specialist will want to see
his/her acute cases and resus cases if they are on site anyway - there will
be little left that ENPs could not handle...
