Lecturer in Human Geography
Applications are invited from candidates with strong research and teaching
profiles for a post as Lecturer in Human Geography. The person appointed
will be expected to play a central role in the Department's Social and
Cultural Geography Research Group.
The Department of Geography at Royal Holloway, University of London,
achieved 5-star status in the 2001 Research Assessment Exercise, runs three
successful Masters programmes, including the MA Cultural Geography, and has
a thriving postgraduate community.

The appointment will be on the Lecturer A./B salary scale, in the range
£27,585-£35,813 inclusive (pay award pending) depending on experience. An
exceptional candidate, however, may be appointed on the Senior Lecturer
scale in the range £37,385-£42,092 inclusive (pay award pending), and also
may be considered for conferment of the title of Reader.
