I used to do quite a lot of medicolegal work. I did not need to be
registered with anybody- just produced high quality reports, had early
appointments and always happy to discuss with lawyer.
The above approach and just putting myself around a bit generated enough
work.
Aim to get one or two companies who do a lot of medleg work appreciate
you and it will probably flow from there.
I would not pay companies fees to put me on a register.
HTH
Cheers
PS I am out of it now (having moved across the ocean) and am probably
glad to be but it was reasonable work and well remunerated.
