Subject: More Domes and Dachas - next week!
Dear Members and Friends of the Russian Speaking Society,
Greetings at the bright and sunny beginning of the new academic
year!
I hope you all feel refreshed, full of vigour and eager to take
part in our new programme of activities, which will begin next
week. Richard Armstrong has agreed to show us more of the
marvellous images of his Russian adventures (that he has amassed
since his first talk, at the first ever RuSS meeting four years
ago). Thus, let me invite you to:
A beautiful SLIDE SHOW "More Domes and Dachas"
by Richard Armstrong,
with comments both in Russian and in English.
WHEN: 23rd September 2003, at 7:30 pm sharp.
WHERE: The Library, Wolfson Court, Clarkson Rd, Cambridge.
ENTRANCE: free (members); 2 pounds (non-members). [As usual, there
will be a chance to join the Society on the spot.]
FOLLOWED BY: light refreshments PLUS
the Russian Speaking Society AGM (that is "otchotno-perevybornoe
sobranie")
Everyone is more than welcome! It will probably be one of our most
accessible events ever, since even those who speak neither a word
of Russian nor a word of English would still be able to get
excited from the visual stimulation! Please bring your friends and
family - it would be nice to see many new and 'old' faces there.
It would be even more wonderful if you could offer your help of
any sort on the Organising Committee - we are always in need of
fresh, buoyant minds. Perhaps you would like to be the President?!
Or maybe you have some bright ideas for the future? Or unfulfilled
organisational talents? Please feel free to discuss your thoughts
and/or volunteer. We look forward to hearing from you.
Do skoroy vstrechi i vsego samogo dobrogo.
Tanya Yurasova
