Why do manufacturers put such scary labels on low toxicity household
products? A mother came in today in hysterics clutching a well but
puzzled small child and a burst blue sachet of clothes washing liquid.
The child had ingested a bit. The box label states, "irritant with a big
cross on an orange background. Show this to a doctor if ingested". The
assessment nurse looks casually at the low toxicity chart from Guys and
sees it there. Immediate loss of interest.
Why put the mother through that for something not terribly toxic?
Best wishes
Rowley
