American Rhetoric
Description: This site is maintained by Michael Eidenmuller, Professor of Communications at the University of Texas. It provides free access to a databank of thousands of audio and video files of key American speeches, speeches from films, political addresses, interviews and sermons from the Twentieth and Twenty-First Centuries. They include extensive coverage of presidential speeches, election conventions, civil rights and international conflicts. The latter include: the war against terrorism, the 2003 Iraq War, the Korean War, Vietnam war and the 9/11 events. Key historical figures include: Martin Luther King, General McArthur. The site also includes an extensive directory of links to newspaper, magazines and research tools and a collection of scholarly essays on political rhetoric.

Is There Anybody Out There? Practical Ways to Boost Take-up of E-Government
Description: This site provides access to a collection of Powerpoint presentations delivered at a E-Government Bulletin Workshop held on 23rd July 2003. They provide coverage of practical measures to encourage usage of electronic government services in the UK. Speakers include representatives from the Office of the E-Envoy, Citizens Online and the ISociety Programme organised by the Work Foundation.
