Unlike Cowley, Jeff is "of God." Would not part, therefore, with Drayton --
not for money, certainly. Heber, though, is probably wasted on the likes of
me. I have been reading Saintsbury's History of English Prosody, which is
very wise, very long, and very, very funny. He speaks well of Drayton, and
all I know are the sonnets. Am looking, then, for a reading text. Brett
finds advocates on every side, so I will try him.
