medieval-religion: Scholarly discussions of medieval religion and culture
Apologies if this repeat question has already been answered; I had suspended my list mail until a couple of days ago.
Raedwald was a Christian, and so should have served the Christian god alone. But Samaritans existed in OT as well as in NT times, and the reference to their continued idolatry while serving the god of the Hebrews is OT: 2 Kings 17:33.
