With Conferences galore in London over the next few months I write to
remind you that you would be very welcome to attend the
'Commemorative' Conference to be held at the LSE on Tuesday, September
23rd - for the late Professor Richard Titmuss -
who died thirty years ago.
Richard Titmuss was Head of the LSE Department of Social Administration
from its foundation in 1950 to his death in 1973.
A series of speakers and panellists - with active discussion from a
growing audience - will consider the Titmuss 'legacy'. Speakers
include -
Julian Le Grand, Howard Davies, Baroness Blackstone, David Donnison, Ann
Oakley, Orsolya Lelkes, Eileen Munro, Howard Glennerster.
We would welcome attendance and participation by all those interested in
Titmuss' ideas and appraisal of their impact on social welfare thinking.
Full details of the Conference, Speakers and a Registration Form, are at
the Web site http://www.lse.u-net.com/RMTConf.htm
- or in the attached document. <<RMT A5 Flyer.doc>>
We hope you will consider joining us, for the Conference sessions from
2.30pm and subsequent Reception, from 6 - 8pm.
On behalf of the Titmuss-Meinhardt Memorial Fund
