With apologies for cross posting.
'Distance Learning and Disabled Students' will be the first TechDis workshop in the 2003/2004 programme, and will be held on Thursday 25 September 2003 at the TechDis offices in York Science Park.
The workshop will outline the various modes of course delivery employed in distance learning and will examine some of the issues surrounding distance learning and disabled students. The work of Dr Margaret Debenham on Computer-Mediated Conferencing and Disabled Students will be presented by her PhD supervisor Judy Emms. It is hoped Margaret will be available online to facilitate a discussion of the issues covered in her work.
The workshop will run from 10am-4pm, and is free of charge to all staff involved in further or higher education. Lunch and refreshments will be provided.
