GIS Research Officer
£17,624 - £22,948 per annum
A research officer post is available in the Institute for
Environment and Sustainability Research to work on a project funded
by the Health and Safety Executive and involving the development of
a national population database for major accident hazard modelling.
The successful applicant will be based within our new GIS research
laboratory and, as a member of the research team, you will work with
a range of population and land use databases on the HSE project.
Applicants should have a postgraduate qualification in GIS, IT or
modelling, a good working knowledge of GIS software, a keen
awareness of methodological issues and good communication and team
working skills. The post is available on a fixed term basis for one
year in the first instance, but may be extended if further project
work develops in related areas.
