Is there no legislation in the UK governing working hours and pay rates.
There is in Ireland and it has separate provisions for sundays and bank
holidays. Basically for sundays you geta premium for working, for a bank
holiday you get a premium and also the time worked off in lieu.
This applies to work on site in hospitals and covers per the legislation all
grades of staff
