Sandy, Ray and all
Thanks for that. Based on the advice i have received to date, i am looking
at 3 possibilities:
1.) Convenant/information in the deeds put in by the developer so that the
home owner has the information.
2.) Informative on any landsearch done on any property in the said area.
This could be basic such as please contact the local authority for further
info should any groundworks be proposed below "X" depth. Alternatively more
detail stating exactly what depth of fill has been removed and replaced with
what etc.
3.) Some sort of engineered barrier, such as a metal mesh so even if someone
feels the urge to dig a pit in their garden they will reach this barrier and
hopefully ask the question why?
As a precautionary measure it may be advisable to ask for all 3 but I
suppose it is down to the developer and the LA to come to an agreement.
kind regards
