Freedom of Information and Records Management

This Records Management Society of Great Britain workshop will cover an
overview of the Freedom of Information Act 2000, its relationship with the
Data Protection Act 1998, the development of publication schemes, and the
implications of the Act for records managers (including a model action plan
for reaching compliance).
Part of the day will be devoted to practical sessions which will examine
case studies on dealing with FOI requests and major elements of records
management that will help to achieve compliance with the Act.
Places are limited so early booking is recommended.
