Dear All,
North Yorkshire has had Earthwatch doing digs in the County every year for a number of years. I would suggest that there are probably at least half a dozen "foreign" (or at least foreign staffed) projects around England every summer. The real issue is do we get copies of their results, and on the whole I would say no. May I suggest that EH or CBA make an annual listing of these kinds of projects so we know who to contact for info on the results.
Cheers,
Neil

Hi folks,
A search on Google following this line of thinking found the Earthwatch
website, including the following links to research project in England...
in Yorkshire
http://www.earthwatch.org/expeditions/martlew.html
and on Tyneside

P.S. Another Earthwatch project listed here is digitising artefacts from
Greece. Perhaps there's an opportunity to get folks to pay to enter that
back-log you've been meaning to get round to...:-)
