Special Issue of the
INTERNATIONAL JOURNAL OF
APPLIED MATHEMATICS AND COMPUTER SCIENCE
on Evolutionary Computation
SCOPE
A forthcoming issue of the International Journal of Applied Mathematics
and Computer Science (AMCS) will be devoted to Evolutionary Computation.
Evolutionary computation comprises all metaheuristic techniques whose
functioning is loosely inspired in natural evolution. These techniques
have been shown to be highly effective in solving hard optimization
problems for which classical approaches are usually inappropriate.
This special issue welcomes original papers dealing with theoretical
and applied aspects of evolutionary computation. The techniques of
interest include (but are not limited to):
- Genetic algorithms
- Evolutionary programming
- Evolution strategies
- Genetic programming
- Memetic algorithms
- Scatter search
- Estimation of distribution algorithms
- Ant colony optimization
- Particle swarm optimization
Contributions dealing with topics of interest for a wide audience,
and/or cross-disciplinary research are specially encouraged.
