Although I''ll have to agree to disagree on the 'personal capital' motives
of SWP activists . . I think the more important issue is to continue being
active and to mobilise . . Often as historoical events have hown . when the
mass has organised . . it has marginalised the voices of leaders such as
Benn and Galloway . . the dynamics of successfull movements like the Anti
Poll Tax campaigns and the Anticapitalism demos have shown that these
leaders do not shape the important grass roots campaigns, they can simply
become the media face of it. When there is enough of a campaign these
revisionists are sidelined and greater gains are possible despite thier
occluding the public debate.
Anyway to practice- There is a demonstration on the 27th of September in
London, Against the U.S. Occupation of Iraq . . Hope to see you there
