OVERVIEW
icse is the premier software engineering conference, providing a
forum for researchers, practitioners and educators to present and
discuss the most recent innovations, trends, experiences and concerns
in the field of software engineering. icse 2004 will include keynote
talks by leaders in the field, presentations of refereed technical
papers on leading-edge research, tutorials by technology experts,
workshops on new and important emerging topics, demonstrations of
significant research prototypes, a doctoral symposium for PhD
students and a variety of other events. the organisers will also
consider proposals for other kinds of events appropriate to the icse
conference. And as always, a major part of icse 2004 will be the
opportunity for networking, facilitated by an array of social events
during the conference.
In 2004, the ancient Scottish city of Edinburgh will host the ICSE
conference. With the conference hotels and venue all within easy
reach of the Castle, Royal Mile and medieval old town, ICSE 2004
promises to be to be a highly enjoyable as well as stimulating event.
PROGRAM
* Presentations of Technical Papers - describing innovative and
significant work in the research and practice of software
engineering. Technical papers report on a range of topics relevant to
the software engineering community, including software engineering
principles, theories, techniques, tools, and empirical evaluations.
* Doctoral Symposium - A forum for Ph.D. students to discuss their
research goals, methods and results at an early stage in their
research.
* Formal Research Demonstrations - An opportunity to view research
systems in action and to discuss these systems with their creators.
* Informal Demonstrations and Posters - A complement to the main
program presenting late-breaking research results and significant
work-in-progress.
* Tutorials - Opportunities to gain new insights, knowledge, and
skills in a broad range of areas of software engineering.
* Workshops - Fora for the exchange of opinions on topics in research
and/or applications.
SUBMISSIONS
We want your participation in icse 2004! Write a paper, organise a
workshop, present a tutorial, submit to the doctoral symposium, take
the chance to showcase your new technology. icse 2004 is the venue
for software engineering!
* Write a Technical Paper - we are looking for presentations of
refereed technical papers on leading research and presentations of
experience at the cutting edge of practice.
