SOCIAL POLICY RESEARCH UNIT
RESEARCH FELLOW (GRADE 1A):Research Programme on Disabled People and
Employment. Salary on Research Scale 1A within the range of £18,265 to
£27,339
The Unit is seeking to appoint a full-time Research Fellow (Grade IA) who
will work on two research projects funded by the Department for Work and
Pensions (DWP): a major evaluation of the Job Retention and Rehabilitation
pilot (introduced in April 2003); and a long-term evaluation of the
WORKSTEP programme. We are seeking a person with skills and experience of
qualitative social research and knowledge of employment programmes for
disabled people. The study will involve setting up and conducting
interviews with professionals in provider organisations and with users of
employment programmes; analysis of interview data and preparation of draft
and final reports. The successful candidate will have a good honours degree
in a relevant social science discipline, and at least two years experience
of conducting social research.
The post is full-time and is available for two years. Further information
