Hi Andy
Nice to hear from you. How is life in homeland. You finally escaped from Nottingham. Is every thing OK? I hope so. By the way, thnks very much for the inofrmation you gave me. Do you regularly calibrate you US machines in your hospitals. How frequently it is done in UK or US.
Looking froward to hearing from you.

Hi Abbas,
Hows it going?
In Edinburgh there was an bioengineer called steve pye who calibrated all
the U/S machines in the region with pretty shocking results. He came up with
a clever way to check power output which consisted of measuring change in
temperature of water with the U/S head submerged. The volume of water had to
remain consistent and sealed from the atmosphee to prevent an increase in
temperature due to air temperature. Anyway he published the results in the
Journal "Physiotherapy" this was probably in the mid 90s but I am too lazy
to check
