Salary: £18,265, pa, pro rata
Applications are invited for a two-year part-time appointment to
undertake a study of 'Constructions of Jewish Identity in Berlin and
Vienna 1870-1940' in collaboration with Professor Edward Timms. This
project, which is jointly funded by the Centre for German-Jewish
Studies and the Kohn Foundation, will begin in October 2003.
The person appointed will be fluent in English and German and have a
good honours degree in a relevant subject. S/he will work on a detailed
study of German-Jewish cultural associations and undertake case studies
of specific individuals or families.
This will be a part-time position working two days per week during a
forty week year. Office space and computing facilities will be provided
by the Centre.
Closing date: Monday 30th June 2003.
Interviews will be held at the end of July.
