Dear colleagues
A further interesting document on the Council Register of Documents...
This is from the Working Party on Legal Data Processing and is the Report on
activities relating to Legal Data Processing during the first half of 2003. It
covers developments with EUR-LEX/CELEX, EULEX, NAT-LEX etc and is well worth
reading.
The item which caught my eye was that EUR-OP is minded to accept the European
Parliament recommendation that CELEX becomes free of charge (although the
European Commission itself has not formally accepted this development). EUR-OP
is suggesting it needs a budgetary increase to compensate for loss of income to
help the further development of CELEX.
