Please excuse the crosslisting!
The set of teaching materials that Diane Taub and I are editing for the American Sociological Association is going to be published (REALLY!) later this month.
We've had difficulty locating a recent syllabus or bibliography on gender and disability. We also have not received material that focuses on gender and race/ethnicity.
If you have either or both (does NOT have to be for a sociology course) and would be willing to have your material included, please send it to me no later than next Tuesday, June 10th. Email is fine, attached file is fine (word is preferred). I cannot guarantee we will use every submission, but we will certainly consider everything we receive.
Those of you on the list who are already contributors, you should be hearing from me individually in the next 2-3 days.
Does anyone have contact for Carol Thomas? I've tried to reach her by email (Carol, are you on this list???)
Finally -- if you missed the original "call" and have taught something this past year that you want us to consider, please send it in right away. We have to send the completed, proofed copy to ASA in two weeks.
If you want an idea of what we included in the first edition you can check out http://faculty.plattsburgh.edu/lynn.schlesinger/asa.htm The first edition is sold out. As soon as I know ordering information for the new edition I'll post it to the list,
Thank you!
