Subject: Requests for case studies of experiences of service provision
The Disability Rights Commission is preparing to launch a major campaign
in October 2003 highlighting the new duties on services providers to
remove any physical barriers that make it difficult for diabled people
to receive fair treatment. The campaign also aims to inform disabled
people of their new rights and to act on them.
As part of the campaign the DRC Media team are interested in gathering
case studies of the experiences - good and bad - that disabled people
have had in obtaining goods and services in the leisure, retail, local
government and health sectors. Participants must be willing for their
details to be offered to media and to appear on television and radio.
Please contact Will Dingli at the DRC Media Team on 020 7 211 4363.
