Theory, Practice, and Creativity: New Frontiers for Translation Studies
POSTGRADUATE SYMPOSIUM

The symposium, jointly organized by the School of Language, Linguistics
and Translation Studies and the School of English and American Studies
at the University of East Anglia, is devoted to postgraduate research
in translation. It aims at providing a forum of debate on the current
theories and practices in the field of Translation Studies and as a
platform for postgraduate students researching in this field to present
and discuss their work-in-progress. Specifically, the symposium will
have a focus on the relationship between scholarly, theoretical
developments on the subject and the creativeness of the practice
itself.
Papers will be welcomed from a range of fields, including
Translation Theory
Literary Translation
Applied Translation
Translation as Creative Writing
Experimental Translation
Translation and Multimedia
Translation History
Translation and Culture
Keynote speakers have been invited to participate in the symposium.
