Dear All,
This is our third e-mail to let you know about progress towards the QRA
2nd INTERNATIONAL POSTGRADUATE PALAEO-ENVIRONMENTS SYMPOSIUM to be held
from the 10-12th September 2003 at the Department of Geography, Queen
Mary, University of London (see details below).
The first news is that we now have abstracts from both of our guest
speakers; Dr Danielle Schreve talking on 'The Life and Death of a Woolly
Rhinoceros' and Professor Jaap van der Meer talking on 'Subglacial
sediment dynamics; the larger picture emerging from the microscope'. You
can find both of these abstracts attached to this e-mail and they will
shortly appear on our lovely website
http://www.geog.qmul.ac.uk/qra/symposium.htm
Some of you may have noticed that our 'early bird' registration deadline
has now passed. However, we will still endeavour to provide accomodation
in halls of residence for those who need it up till our final
registration and abstract deadline, the 31st July. Places still remain
for oral presentations as well as posters.
Well, I think that is all for now. Further information as ever is online
at http://www.geog.qmul.ac.uk/qra/symposium.htm. Please feel free to
e-mail us with any questions.
Hopefully we will see you in September!
Richard, mark and Miriam
