List members may be interested in the following funded MSc Studentships
available at the SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURE, FOOD AND RURAL DEVELOPMENT,
UNIVERSITY OF NEWCASTLE.
Applications are invited for the following courses for the academic year
commencing September 2003:
MSc in Rural Development and Resource Management
MSc in International Agricultural and Food Marketing
Eight studentships are available for these courses for UK students. These
will cover the cost of tuition fees and give a maintenance allowance of
£4,000.
All students will be required to undertake a three month work placement
following successful completion of the taught component of the programme
(September to June). The placement will be with a rural firm, cluster of
firms or business support agency and will assist in development of the
North East rural economy. A dissertation based on the placement experience
will complete the MSc.
Applications to be received by Friday 27 June 2003. Final decisions on the
allocation of the studentships (to those offered places) will be made by
end of July.
