Actually, we get some applications from "senior SHO" ranks who want to train
further (experience or exams) in order to get an NTN. Our last one got a
local NTN on her second attempt which is good going by North Thames
standards. We have one current applicant who wishes to remain at staff grade
level and already lives a few stops away (there is affordable accommodation
within a few miles of Hampstead itself). But I agree, it's not easy
recruitment at this level, Danny.
