PhoenixTN is a European Union-funded thematic research network for the
development of health and social welfare policy in Europe. We are
currently engaged in a project to evaluate the impact of HISTORICAL
health and social welfare policies.
We are composing a list of the initiatives/developments/policies which
have had the greatest impact on health. This is meant in its broadest
sense (i.e. goes beyond the usual 'magic bullet' items).
We would greatly appreciate contributions from historians,
contemporary policy experts and others so that we can make a useful
synthesis. Perhaps it has been done before (we'd appreciate
references), but hope that our request might spark some interesting
list discussions.
