As a regular Telegraph reader, the comment rather stuck in my gullet as
well!

Subject: Andrew Roberts' Piece in the 'Daily Telegraph' - Tues. 13 May.
Dear list members,
Further to Alastair Wilson's message, I thought Andrew
Robert's article was quite good - until I got the the
closing paragraph where he talks of David Gilmour "absolving him
[Kipling] from charges of racism, fascism, homosexuality, and any number
of lesser accusations".
Surely the days are long past when homosexuality should be bracketed
with racism and fascism - or, indeed, regarded as an "accusation".
