ABSTRACT
========
QSR SOFTWARE, A DAY WITH THE DESIGNERS
Lyn and Tom Richards will spend a day discussing N6, the latest in the
NUDIST line, and the recently released NVivo 2. The focus will be on four
questions:
· What are the differences between the two?
· What sorts of projects can each support?
· What are the ranges of ways to use each product?
· How can each be used in teaching qualitative methods?
THE SCHEDULE WILL INCLUDE:-
· Demonstration and discussion of the newest features in both packages. New
ways of seeing and showing what’s in your data with NVivo 2’s show, model,
filter and assay. Automation of clerical work in N6’s: making and using
commands with the Command Assistant.
· Discussion of issues of teaching and ideas for course curricula from the
University of Wisconsin conference for those teaching qualitative research
with QSR’s software, April 27 – May 1st (http://www.wcer.wisc.edu/tqm).
· Issues of research design and practice from the Institute of Education’s
London conference May 8-9 on Strategies in Qualitative Research:
Methodological issues and practices in using QSR NVivo and NUD*IST :
