This seems not to have been very well reported, at least in the U.K.
I quote from today's Guardian, p. 14, who simply relied upon Reuters:
"Priceless Cellini sculpture taken
"Police are investigating whether a priceless solid gold sculpture snatched
on Saturday night from Vienna's art history museum was stolen to order.
"The 16th century saliera (salt cellar) is the only remaining authenticated
example of master sculptor Benvenuto Cellini's work as a goldsmith.
