Hello Listserve Colleagues --
I encourage any of you who have recent books that would be appropriate to
display, with order forms, at the upcoming annual conference of SDS (Society
for Disability Studies) -- or you could nominate books by others -- to contact
me about them. As coordinator of this year's SDS Book Room, I will pass the
information on to the firm that is handling contacts with the publishers, who
in turn will request the publishers to send display copies and order forms
(with conference discount), or you could make the request yourself. If you are
attending the SDS meeting, you could also bring along both the book and the
forms, just to be absolutely sure they are there.
Please circulate this information. There is so much literature appearing in
Disability Studies, and more academic programs starting up, so it is a
challenge for the SDS Book Room to reflect that productivity. That will give
attendees a great opportunity to build their libraries, and those who are
teaching, to update their syllabi, efficiently.
As a reminder: SDS is scheduled for June 11 - 15 at the Hyatt Regency
Bethesda, Maryland.
Thanks!
Corinne
