CHORD invites all those interested in the study of trade, from the prehistoric
to the contemporary period, to its annual conference, devoted to the
exploration of the economic, cultural and social aspects of 'Trade'
Sessions themes include:

The post-war Consumer Boom
International Networks of Exchange
Retailers and Retailing
The Regulation of Trade
Entrepreneurs: Department Store Management
Trade and National Identity: Clothing and Textiles

Special Trade Dictionary Panel
The conference fee is £ 46. Reduced fees are available: Attendance 1 day only: £
26. Students/unwaged (both days): £ 25. Conference dinner: £ 15. The conference
dinner will take place on 10 September at a local Wolverhampton Indian
restaurant. (The £ 15 excludes drinks). Bursaries may be available for delegates
unable to obtain institutional funding.
