Dear Listmembers,
Hello, I am writing to encourage any of you who would like to request
sponsorship or co-sponsorship of an AAG session by the Cultural
Geography Specialty Group for the Annual Meeting in March 2004 to get in
touch with me--as CGSG Program Coordinator--at this email address during
the coming months. The abstracts for the sessions are due at the AAG at
the beginning of October (I will need final details of sessions a couple
of weeks before that), so you will have lots of time to plan for a great
range of special sessions. The New Orleans AAG program included an
impressive diversity of cultural geography sessions, and the
Philadelphia meeting offers and ideal context to build on this.
Our definitions of Cultural Geography are very open and inclusive, so if
you have any questions or are also looking for a session for your paper,
please let me know.
For more information on the CGSG and copies of newsletters please check
out our website at:

Looking forward to hearing from you and please feel free to pass this
note on to other lists/members of your department.
Thanks.
Susan Mains.
