Raju,
When I first joined this forum some years ago, you postings about spatial
parochialism were among the first things I read.
At that time I had no idea what 'critical geography' actually was - I imagined
it refered to a bunch of geographers complaining all the time.
I now understand that being a critical social scientist refers to one's
ontological perspective.
In that case, surely a critical social scientist isn't critical about this and not
that, but rather is 'just critical'.
Of course, it is possible to adopt differing ontological perspectives. So,
therefore, we might adpot a critical approach to our considerations about
capitalism one day and, the next, approach it from a more positivistic
perspective - perhaps as we calculate the decreased value of our stocks
and shares ISAs!
