Dear colleagues
We are now taking last bookings for the course on "Modelling reactive
transport in groundwater" mainly based on a Visual MODFLOW modelling
environment, which will take place at the University of Sheffield on 3-6 June
2003. This course is part of the range of continuing professional development
courses run by the Groundwater Protection and Restoration Group.
We are delighted to welcome back Professor Chunmiao Zheng, Professor David
Lerner and Drs Sascha Oswald and Maria Romero. Professor Zheng is
internationally renowned as the developer of MT3D and MT3DMS, and
following former successful courses is looking forward to teaching
once more in Sheffield. This year he is joined by Professor Neil
Thomson from the University of Waterloo, Canada, who also enjoys an
international reputation and will provide the link to transport
modelling in the unsaturated zone.
We will provide the opportunity to get in touch with recent
developments in reactive transport modelling in a very hands-on
manner, and the number of participants is limited to 20 to ensure a
high level support and interaction.
For more information see the attached brochure or our web pages at

Apologies, if you should receive this e-mail twice. Please have a
look, and feel free to forward this announcement to whoever might be
interested.
