Not strictly academic but I am trying to work out a formula to work out
staffing levels, I want to factor in case complexity as the Dumbos who I
need to get through to can't see the difference between a bruised toe and a
collapse ? cause.
a. Does anyone know of a formula already in existence to save me the hassle
of reinventing one?
b. Can anyone remember the formula published by BAEM a few years back, it
differentiated by grade the number of patients that could be expected to be
seen per hour Compared to SHO, if my memory serves me right it was something
like ; Cons = x 0.25, SpR = x 0.5 etc. I think there were also some actual
figures as to how many consultations/ hour was to be expected. I know I have
it on file somewhere, but can I find it......?
Thanks and good wishes to you all from a very wet, grey Cornwall
Paul
