It makes eminent sense, doesn't it, to ask the client what he/she
thinks, about impact, etc, and most EAPs incorporate a questionnaire of
this nature which the client completes and sends back to them in
confidence.
Good old George Kelly! Didn't he say something along the lines of, 'If
you want to know what ails the client, ask him!' and of course this
approach can be easily translated onto outcomes of all kinds of therapy
services. And, come to think of it, why should we not use simple SUD
scales?
