Thanks geoff
you see I have been on a supervision placement where I was not paid to start
with, then paid they paid me cos I was going to leave, then not paid again on
the basis that I was not a qualified supervisor though I am doing the work of
a supervisor as a UKCP reg. practitioner. And they have paid me to undertake
another type of supervsion for a project they were undertaking. I am just
beginning to begrudge the 'not being paid' bit given that I give up a stack
of paid counselling hours. I am just a little tired of the charitable
expectations regarding the process of qualifying as a supervisor when I am a
very experienced practitioner in many other areas. Or maybe i am not
realising what I am getting back for what I am giving to them???
any views welcome about how working on placements might affect the process of
counselling and supervsion would be gratefully appreciated
