Nick,
Really sorry to see you go, especially because most (if not all)
your contributions were insightful and refreshing, especially those
that showed that you weren't 'afraid' to be challenging, even if it was
against what other colleagues thought adn did. If there is any way
that you could reconsider then please do, as the struggle is never
over 'til it's over, you know what I mean? Anyway, if you decide not
to hang in there, then see you at the conference...
This is also a reminder to y'all about the PCSR conference taking
place next month. If you have booked for the conference on May 18th -
thank you and we look forward to seeing you there. If you haven't
done so yet - it is booking up fast....
Please forward this e-flyer to anyone else who might be interested
in the conference.

Conference Fee: £30; Members: £25; Trainees, Unwaged: £20
This conference is an attempt by PCSR to respond to the present global crisis.
We hope that as many people as possible from the world
of psychotherapy and counselling, and beyond, including
political activists and concerned citizens, will attend. We
have brought together four psychotherapists from different
cultural backgrounds to speak in dialogue about their
different perspectives on today's international and cultural
conflicts. What contribution (if any) can psychotherapy
make to understanding these problems, and possibly,
helping to resolve them.
We are happy to welcome Aida Alayarian, an Iranian psychoanalytic
psychotherapist, Tali Levine Bar Yoseph, a Gestalt psychotherapist
from Israel, Andrew Samuels, Jungian analyst and Co-Founder of PCSR,
and Lennox Thomas, psychoanalytic psychotherapist and a founder member
of NAFSIYAT.
During the conference, Whurr Books are sponsoring a lunch to launch
the new journal Psychotherapy and Politics International.
In the afternoon, there will be ample time and opportunity for participants
to engage in dialogue, both in small groups, and in plenary session.
We see this conference as a creative merging of forces at a time when
the world political situation requires a compassionate response and
informed critique from the diverse perspectives within psychotherapy
and counselling.
PCSR will hold its AGM at the end of the day, and we hope that
both new and old members will attend and strengthen the important
work that PCSR is doing at this crucial time.
