Dear Nick
I joined this group in 1999. Though not a frequent contributor I've found
many of the discussions helpful, challenging and thought- provoking. Others
I've found less interesting, sometimes irritating and tiresome. Aware of
my own bias my reaction has always been to hit the delet button. Possibly
it would have been more constructive to openly state my irritation or to
have introduced a discussion on issues more relevant to the group's stated
aims.
With this in mind perhaps it might be useful, before you leave the group
(which I urge you not to do), for us all to have an open and respectful discussion
about the group aims and contract. Is the group convened to discuss theoretical
and research issues in counselling and psychotherapy?
Perhaps we can move on from here?
Helen
