I have IDDM and I have the same kind of problems (I work in private
practise). I have found it very helpful to keep a diary including food,
acts, meds etc and try to ensure that I keep as many things as possible
consistent e.g. same breakfast every day. I also test my blood sugar
frequently, I only used to test 3/4 times a day but for whatever reason over
the last 12 months my insulin reqs and response changes frequently, often
daily, so I may test 8 + times per day as it seems to be the only way to
avoid real problems at work. If you want to contact me off list and have any
