REQUEST FOR PARTICIPANTS IN
RESEARCH IN KNOWLEDGE MANAGEMENT
I am currently undertaking some research in knowledge management through
the University of Greenwich, and I am seeking people who would be interested
in participating in this research. I am conducting telephone, tape-recorded
interviews, which last approximately 30 minutes (but can be adjusted to
meet individual requirements). Questions will be asked on a range of topics
such as: the role of the information professional in KM; the difference
between knowledge management and information management; KM and I.T.; KM
standards; the knowledge revolution/knowledge economy and the significance
of value.
If you would like to participate in my research, please contact me. Reports
on the main findings will be made available to participants in due course.
I will also be giving a talk on ?The role of the information professional
in knowledge management? at the ?Library and Information? Show at London
Excel on Thursday 1st May at 3.30pm, and my paper will be made available
on the Managing Information website at www.managinginformation.com.
Furthermore, for those of you who do not already know, I will also be talking
about the World Trade Organisation?s Agreement on Trade-Related Aspects
of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) and its likely implications for
the library and information world, on Wednesday, 30th April, at 11.30.am,
at LiS. An article by myself about TRIPS is in the current April hard copy
issue of Managing Information. Longer (and different) versions will be appearing
in the IFLA Journal and Business Information Review later in the year.
For full details about the show see ? www.lishow.co.uk
Look forward to hearing from you in regard to my research, and to seeing
you at LiS.
Best wishes,
Ruth Rikowski, Visiting Lecturer, South Bank University and University of
Greenwich and Book Reviews Editor for ?Managing Information?
