Applications are invited from candidates with a research specialism in
modern and contemporary German social and political studies, with
preference given to candidates with a research interest in German
studies in a transnational context. Candidates with a specific interest
in Turkish-German relations, German-East European migrations and
relations, or issues of ‘race', migration and ethnicity in contemporary
Germany are particularly welcomed. The successful candidate will be a
member of the Research Group in Modern Languages and will contribute to
undergraduate teaching programmes in German and European social and
political studies and to the new postgraduate programme in
Transnational Studies.
Salary in the range £22,191 - £33,679 per annum. Lecturer Grade A/B
